Reflections on Statistical Surveys and Questionnaire Construction

I was asked by a friend of mine to provide some valuable input on statistical surveys and questionnaire construction. Slight searching of the world wide web reveals that there is plenty of valuable material present on this topic already. The truth is that there is plenty of valuable material present already on almost any conceivable issue. Everything that needed to be invented has already been invented. Everything that could be thought or conceived has already been thought and conceived. All one has to do is to search the web a little bit to get things going for themselves.

In this vein I am sharing here links to a few nice books and presentations on these topics. I hope that this is found valuable.

First of all I would like to share a link to an online book that I found interesting on this topic. The “art” of questionnaire construction: some important considerations for manufacturing studies sounds like a good book. I am sure that one can draw correlates from it to suit their own statistical surveys. Similarly googling about good books about statistical surveys and questionnaire construction reveals a lot of good books on the subject by google books.

There already plenty of presentations available on the topic on slide share. Most of them are by serious academics. I am just going to embed the codes to a few nicer ones of them below.

These presentations are just the tip of the ice berg. The truth is that there are massive volumes of information available on the world wide web in the form of books and presentations on these and any of the conceivable related topics. All one has to do is a bit of web surfing and consequent reading.
