This is another idea for an FYP project, or for something of similar nature. This is similar to an FYP project I wrote abut earlier. The title of the project was Software Dovetailing of ECJ With UAV Playground. You can read about the details of the project on the link I just provided in the previous sentence. You have to do exactly the same, but using Octave or Matlab. Both Octave and Matlab have come a long way. Both of them can be run on clouds and they are capable of parallel processing. This is a tremendous leap. Octave and Matlab are quite similar as well. Code written for one of them can normally be run on the other. Moreover, the recent version of Octave also has a GUI. You can get the recent version of Octave for Ubuntu from here. So just look at the details of the project and get working. This time, instead of using Anypoint Studio or Talend ESB, you have to do the dovetailing of ECJ or UAV Playground using Matlab or Octave. I also wrote about two other similar projects. One was about porting ECJ to Matlab and the other was about porting the UAV Playground to Matlab. You can also take inspiration from these projects.
Following book could be handy for you if you are interested in a project involving writing Java code for Matlab.
Undocumented Secrets of MATLAB-Java Programming
For a variety of reasons, the MATLAB®-Java interface was never fully documented. This is really quite unfortunate: Java is one of the most widely used programming languages, having many times the number of programmers and programming resources as MATLAB.
