ورک فرام هوم ۔۔ گھر بیٹھ کر کام کیجیۓ

هم جس دور سے گزر رهے ھیں، یه جہاں ایک طرف مالی خوشحالی کا دور ہے، وہاں دوسری طرف اقوامِ عالم معاشی بحران سے نمٹنے کی بھی انتھک کوشِش کر رہی ہیں۔ دنیا بھر کی بڑی بڑی کمپنیاں آ؁ۓ روز کنگھال ‪(default)‬ ہو رہی ہیں۔ اور کمپنی ملازمین کو  نکالا جا رہا ھے۔ پچھلے چند سالوں میں یورپ اور امریکہ کی بڑی بڑی کمپنیوں میں بے پناہ داؤن سائزنگ ہوئ ہے۔ ملازمین کو کھڑے کھڑے ملازمت سے نکال دیا جاتا ہے۔ جاب سیکیورٹی اور سیفٹی ایک بڑا عالمگیر مسلہ بن گئ ھے۔ بہرحال ان حالات کے پیشِِ نظر لوگوں نے ملازمت اور کاروبار کے متبادل راستے ڈھونڈنے شروع کر دئے ہیں۔ ان میں بالخصوص ایسے کام اور پیشے زیاده توجہ طلب اور دلچسپ ہیں جو لوگوں کے گھر ره کر کام کرنے سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں اور انہیں خود کفیل بننا سکھاتے ہیں۔ ایسے کام انہیں مناسب آمدن حاصل کرنے کے طریقے بھی سکھاتے ہیں۔ مغربی ممالک میں اب گھر ره کر کام کرنا ایک رواج کی صورت اختیار کرتا جا رہا ہے۔ ایک محطات اندازے کے مطابق کام اور جاب کا جو تصور ہمارے ذہنوں میں اس واقت موجود ہے، وه آنے والے دس سال میں یکسر تبدیل ہو جاۓ گا۔ زیاده تر لوگ اپنے گھر ره کر ہی کام کیا کریں گے۔ چاہے وه کام کسی کمپنی کیلۓ کریں یا اپنے لئے کریں۔ آئیے ہم بھی آپکو بھی گھر بیٹھ کر کام کرنے کے کچھ منفرد طریقے سکھائیں، جن سے آپ مستفید ہو کر مستقبل میں خود کفیل ہو سکیں۔

انٹرنیٹ اور کمپیوٹر سے متعلقہ کام کرنے کے طریقے:۔
اگر آپ انٹرنیٹ یا کمپیوٹر کے استعمال سے آشنا ہیں تو آپ جانتے ہی ہوں گے کہ ایسے بے شمار کام ہیں جو انٹرنیٹ پر کئے جا سکتے ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پہ انٹرنیٹ سے منسلک ڈیٹا اینٹری کا کام ایسا ہے جسے کوئی بھی آدمی کر سکتا ھے۔ کسی خاص تعلیمی قابلیت کی بھی ضرورت نہیں ہوتی۔ بس تھوڑا بہت انٹرنیٹ کے استعمال کا طریقہ آتا ہونا چاہئے۔ اس طرح کے کام میں انسان کسی کمپنی کا ضروری ڈیٹا ایک خاص فارمیٹ میں کمپیٹر میں اینٹر کرتا ہے۔ نتیجَتًا وه اپنا معاوضہ کمپنی سے لے لیتا ہے۔ معاوضے کا توازن ڈیٹا کی مقدار کے مطابق ہوتا ہے۔

لکھنا اور بلاگنگ ‪(blogging)‬:۔ اگر آپ اچھے لکھاری ہیں یا اچھے لکھاری بننا چاہتے ہیں، تو یہ کام آپکے لئے نہایت موزوں ہے۔ سب سے پہلے آپ انٹرنیٹ پہ اپنے لئے ایک مفت بلاگ کا ۡقیام کریں۔ ایسی بیسیوں سروسز ہیں جن پہ آپ اپنا بلاگ قائم کر سکتے ہیں۔ اگر آپ سمجھتے ہیں کہ آپ اچھے لکھاری نہیں ہیں تب بھی فکرمند مت ہوئیے۔ آپ محنت اور کوشش سے اچھے لکھاری بن سکتے ہیں۔ کسی بھی نئے کام کو سیکھنے کےلئے ویسے بھی آپکی قابلیت سے زیاده آپکے شوق، لگن اور محنت کہ عمل دخل ہوتا ہے۔ اگر آپ سیکھنا چاہیں تو کچھ بھی سیکھ سکتے ھیں۔ آپ چھوٹے چھؤتے قدم اُٹھائیے اور مختلف موضوعات پہ لکھنا شروع کیجئے۔ مثلاً آپ چھوٹے چھوٹے سفرناموں اور آپ بیتیوں سے اپنے لکھنے کے سفر کا آغاز کر سکتے ہیں۔ آہستہ آہستہ آپکی گرائمر ‪(grammar)‬ اور ووکیبلری ‪(vocabulary)‬ اچھی ہو جائے گی۔ آپ اپنے لکھنے کے انداز کو بھی بہتر بنا سکتے ہیں۔ آہستہ آہستہ آپ مختلف مؤضوعات مثلاً خبروں اور ریویوز لکھنے کے قابل ہو سکتے ہیں۔ آخر کار آپ اسی لکھنے کی صلاحیت کی بناء پر کوئی اچھی آنلائن ملازمت حاصل کر سکتے ہیں۔

بلاگنگ کے اور بھی فوائد ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پہ آپکا یا آپکے کسی عزیز یا رشتہ دار کا کوئی ایسا کاروبار مثلاً بیکری یا لانڈری وغیره ہے، تو آپ انکے کاروبار کے لئے بھی بلاگ بنا سکتے ہیں۔ انٹرنیٹ پہ بہت سی ایسی سروسز مفت موجود ہیں جو آپکو یہ ہنر سکھا سکتی ہیں۔

بلاگنگ یا لکھنے یا کسی بھی کام میں اس بات کا خاص خیال رکھیں کہ آپ کوئی اخلاقیات سے گری ہوئی حرکت نا کریں۔ ایسی چیزوں کے لکھنے سے گریز اور پرہیز کریں جنہیں اﷲ اور اسکے رسولؐ نے کرنے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔ اسکے علاوه نفرت آمیز چیزیں لکھنے سے گریز کریں۔ ایسی باتیں بھی نا لکھیں جو دھشت گردی اور فتنہ و فساد کو جنم دیتی ہوں۔

اسکے علاوه بھی اگر آپکے پاس کوئی ہنر ہے تو آپ اسکو بروئے کار لا سکتے ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پہ اگر آپ کسی قسم کی کوئی ٹیکنیکل تعلیم رکھتے ہیں تو آپ اسکو بروئے کار لا سکتے ہیں۔ ایسی ہزاروں جابز ہیں جو آپ آنلائن کر سکتے ہیں۔ اس سے آپکو تنخواه بھی اچھی ملے گی اور آپ اپنا من پسند کام کر کے خوش بھی رہیں گے۔

ایقواپانکس ‪(aquaponics)‬: گھر میں ره کر کام کرنے کا ایک اچھا طریقہ ہے۔ آپ اپنے گھر میں کسی جگہ، اور بالخصوص چھت پہ باغبانی کریں۔ آپ کہیں سے پلاسٹک کی کیاریاں خریدیں اور ان میں مٹی اور کھاد ڈال کر سبزیاں اگائیں۔ سبزیوں کو گھر کی چھت پہ اگانے کے اپنے بےشمار فوائد ہیں۔ ۱ ) ان سے گھر کی چھت ٹھنڈی رہتی ہے۔ جس کا فائده گرمیوں میں ہوتا ہے۔ ۲) اس سے نا صرف آپکو گھریلو استعمال کیلیئے سبزیآں مل جاتی ہیں، بلکہ آپ اضافی سبزیاں بازار میں بیچ کر منافع بھی کما سکتے ہیں۔ ۳) اسکا ایک بہت بڑا فائده معاشرتی پہلو رکھتا ہے۔ آبادی کے بڑھنے سے کافی سی زمین جو کسی زمانے میں زراعت کے لئے استعمال ہوتی تھی، اب رہائشی مکانات کی تعمیر کی وجہ سے ہم اسے کھو بیتھے ہیں۔ چھت پہ سبزیاں اگانے کی وجہ سے ہم اس زمین کی پیداوار کو کسی نہ کسی حد تک واپس حاصل کر سکتے ہیں۔

مغربی ممالک میں یہ طریقہِ زراعت عام رائج ہے۔ اسے رُوف ٹاپ گارڈنِنگ ‪(rooftop gardening)‬ کا نام دیا جاتا ہے۔ اسکی ایک جدید شکل ایقواپانکس ‪(aquaponics)‬ کہلاتی ہے۔ ایقواپانکس میں سبزی اور مچھلی اکٹھی اگائی اور پالی جاتی ہے۔ جی ہاں! ایسا نہ صرف ممکن ہے، بلکہ نہایت آسان بھی ہے۔ اس طریقہ کار کو ایک چھوٹی سی  مثال کے ذریعے سمجھایا جا سکتا ھے۔ بعد اذاں آپ اسکو بڑے پیمانے پر بھی کر سکتے ہیں۔ جتنا گڑ اتنا ہی میٹھا!

ایک کیاری میں سبزی اگائیے۔ اسکے متوازی ایک چھوٹا سا تالاب ‪(aquarium)‬ رکھئے۔ اس میں مچھلیاں یا کوئی اور آبی جانور رکھئے۔ مچھلی جب پانی میں پیشاب اور فضلہ کرتی ہے، تو ایک خاص مدت کے بعد وه پانی مچھلی کیلیے زہریلا ‪(toxic)‬ ہو جاتا ہے۔ لیکن یہی پانی پودوں کیلیے نہایت ہی مفید کھاد کا کام دیتا ہے۔ اس میں وه تمام مایکرو نیوٹرینٹس ‪(micronutrients)‬ ہوتے ہیں جو پودوں کی نشونما کیلیے نہایت مفید ہیں۔ اس پانی کو پودوں کی کیاری میں ڈال دیجئے۔

جب اس پانی کا نکاس کیاری کی مٹی سے ہو گا تو یہ پانی صاف ہو چکا ہو گا۔ اور اپنے ساتھ پودوں کی جڑوں کی غذائیت لیئے ہوئے ہو گا۔ یہ پانی پودوں کی نشونما کیلیے نہایت مفید ہے۔ اسے مچھلی والے تالاب میں ڈال دیجئے۔ دیکھا آپ نے! ایک تیر سے دو شکار!! وہی پانی مچھلی اور پودوں، دونوں، کیلئے مفید۔

رہا مسلہ پانی کے نکاس کا تو یہ آپ ایک چھوٹے سے پمپ ‪(pump)‬ کے ذریعے کر سکتے ہیں۔ ایسے پمپس عام طور پر روم کولرز ‪(room coolers)‬ میں لگے ہوتے ہیں، جو پانی کو کولر کے پیندے سے لے کر اسکی چھت تک پہنچاتے ہیں۔ یقیناً اگر آپ نے ایسے کولرز دیکھے ہیں تو آپ سمجھ گئے ہوں گے۔

پانی کے نکاس کے اور بھی کئی تریقے ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پہ ایک تریقہ یہ ہے کہ آپ ایک کئی منزلہ‪(multi storey)‬ ایقواپانکس سسٹم بنائیں۔ اس سسٹم میں آپ ایک منزل پہ پودوں کی کیاری رکھیں اور دوسری پر مچھلی کا تالاب۔ اس طرح پانی خودبخود ایک منزل سے دوسری منزل پہ منتقل کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

گو ایقواپانکس ایک نئی ٹیکنالوجی ہے، لیکن مغربی ممالک، بالخصوص امریکہ، یورپ اور جاپان، میں بڑی تیزی سے عام ہو رہی ہے۔ بے شمار ایسی ویب سائٹس موجود ہیں جہاں سے آپ اپنا ذاتی سسٹم بنانے کا طریقہ سیکھ سکتے ہیں۔ خرچ بھی کچھ زیاده نہیں آتا۔ بس کیاریاں وغیره خریدنی پڑتی ہیں۔ پلاسٹک کی کیاریاں سستی بھی مل سکتی ہیں، اور ین کا وزن بھی کم ہو گا۔ چنانچہ انہیں چھت پہ رکھنا چھت کےلیئے نقصان ده بھی نہیں ہوگا۔

پاکستان جیسے ملک میں جس میں شمسی توانائی کثیر تعداد میں موجود ہوتی ہے، اس میں ایسی ٹیکنالوجی کے بڑھنے کا وسیع امکان ہے۔ اگر آپ باغبانی کا شوق رکھتے ہیں تو آپ نی صرف یسے اپنے گھر کی چھت پہ کر سکتے ہیں بلکہ اس سے ایک وسیع و عریض کاروبار بھی بنا سکتے ہیں۔ یعنی ایک ایسا کاروبار جس سے آپ لوگوں کو ایقواپانکس سسٹمز بنا کر دیں اور اپنا معاوضہ لے لیں۔ شوق کا شوق، اور کاروبار کا کاروبار!

اس کے علاوه بھی بہت سے ایسے کام ہیں جو آپ گھر ره کر کر سکتے ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پہ اگر آپ سلائی کڑھائی میں مہارت رکھتے ہیں تو آپ یہی کام اپنے گھر میں کر سکتے ہیں۔ اور اسے سوشل میڈیا کے ذریعے بیچ سکتے ہیں۔ اسی طرح اگر آپ کھانے پکانے کا کام جانتے ہیں، تو گھر پہ ہی کر لیجئے، اسے فیس بک ‪(facebook)‬ یا اپنے بلاگ ‪(blog)‬ کے ذریعے بیچئے۔

گھر سے کام کرنے کے جہاں فوائد ہیں، وہاں اسکے نقصانات بھی ہیں۔ مثال کے طور پہ گھر سے کام کرنے میں سیلف ڈسپلن ‪(self discipline)‬ اور وقت کی پابندی ‪(time management)‬ کو عام کام کی نسبت زیاده عمل دخل ہے۔ چنانچہ ان چیزوں کا خاص خیال رکھیں۔

In Pakistan we have a lot of sayings. The fact is that we like to say a lot. There is a saying for almost every thinkable event of life. Saying a lot, and saying it eloquently, is considered an integral part of our personal wisdom. It is a personal development tool to be able to say too much and to say it really well. But mere talking does not help much. Talk cannot feed a hungry stomach.

Quite surprisingly, we have a lot of food in Pakistan. You can go to any corner of the country and you would find abundant food. A lot of food and no work! No, I do not mean to say that we do not have jobs. There are quite a few jobs in Pakistan. Although they are not as many as they should have been. What I additionally want to imply is that people who have jobs don’t tend to work as much.  The is absolutely true about the public sector. The very fact that Pakistani people are fed food for doing nothing is a miracle in its own right. And you can see this miracle at play in every part of our country. Any person who does not believe in a God should come and witness this with his own eyes how a creation is being fed in almost every part of the country. The sight of jam-packed restaurants and takeaways is absolutely miraculous. In Pakistan, chicken is our national bird.

Gluttony is our favorite national habit and incompetence is our most cherished national trait. This is, however, not going to work for long. With rapid urbanization in the past decade and a sudden population growth, there is tremendous pressure on many of our national resources. Food supplies, water and fuel are some of the commodities that can be expected to be in short supply given our population dynamics. This would be especially true when our population is going to double by the next couple of decades, as it is projected by the experts on demographics.

In Pakistan we love to construct a lot. Whenever someone has enough money, then, due to lack of a better idea, he would buy some land somewhere and erect a huge house on top of that. This has also been true since the past couple of decades. The truth is that many parts in Pakistan were heavenly for the real estate dealers ten to fifteen years ago. They are still not doing very badly. Moreover, all the land that was sold then is still undergoing rapid construction. People are making houses all over the country.

And what else would the people do? With not many options to spend money, they buy land to build houses. And with too many people in the country, it is also absolutely important to have as many houses as we can build. Construction has become a necessity. And even when construction was not such a dire necessity, it was our favorite national pastime.

The exponentially growing population and rapidly increasing population have given rise to additional problems. These problems are going to become worse if they are not addressed now. One of these problems is food. Food is becoming quite expensive in Pakistan. It is a very harsh fact that not everyone can afford food at reasonable prices. There is too much poverty and inflation in Pakistan. People still get fed. However, the plight is quite grim.

Construction of houses, no matter useful, has already given rise to a handful of problems. Some of them can be understood and the others would become apparent in due course. One of the problems with this rapid construction is that housing societies have been developed on lands that were previously used for agriculture. So the land that was previously used for agriculture is now being used by people to live. Building houses by curtailing agricultural activities is, thus, not a very great idea.

Agriculture can, nonetheless, be revived in these areas. I remember that I wrote about the benefits of rooftop gardening long time ago. I wrote that how building rooftop gardening can help revive vegetation in household environments. This idea is not novel. It is quite popular in western countries. However, it is close to non-existant in Pakistan. I would be extremely surprised if someone told me that someone out there is doing rooftop gardening in Pakistan. Actually I would be disappointed to learn this, as I believe that virtually nobody in Pakistan has a rooftop garden. I am going to reflect briefly on the benefits of aquaponics.

So what is aquaponics. I came to know about aquaponics through a webinar. It was an hour long presentation of an American entrepreneur who was trying to sell his ideas and solutions to people. There are plenty of other sources on the worldwide web from where you can learn about aquaponics.

Aquaponics is a simple technology. In aquaponics you grow vegetable and keep marine animals side by side. So you can have a plastic bed in which you can grow vegetables. And you can have an aquarium placed right besides it, or above it, in which you can keep some marine animals, like certain types of fish, shrimps, crabs and lobsters.

In aquaponics both plants and aquatic animals form a certain kind of symbiotic relationship as they grow together. As the marine animals excrete in the aquariums, their excretions become toxic for them after some time. These excretion can serve as elixir for the the plants instead. The water from the fish ponds is recycled into the plant beds. It carries essential micro-nutrients for the plants that helps them grow faster and stronger.

The water from the plant beds can be recycled into the aquariums. So, apuaponics is essentially a simple process.

I personally believe that who ever shall invest a little bit of effort to do aquaponics on an industrial scale in Pakistan can become quite wealthy. All you would have to do is to convince people of its benefits and motivate them to buy the required paraphernalia from you to install aquaponics systems in their houses. You can also offer after-sales services and other additional benefits.

People can adopt aquaponics as a hobby as well and they can earn a lot of money with it. I wrote some benefits of rooftop gardening some time back and they hold true for aquaponics too. I reiterate them here for your kind perusal.

1. It would keep your house cooler (or less hot) as much of the heat from sunlight would be absorbed by the aquariums and plantation beds on your rooftop.
2. It would revive a significant portion of agricultural land that was lost in making housing societies.
3. You would get free vegetables and fish to eat. You can also sell the surplus eatables in the market.
4. Food prices would come down and more people would have access to nutritious food.
5. Its green!There is considerable poverty and unemployment in our country. Younger people are looking for jobs whereas older people with money are finding ways to invest. In Pakistan we love to lament and crib about our dysfunctional political system. It is a pity that we spend a lot valuable time of our lives in futile activities. But procrastination is our most deep rooted national behavior.
